“Birds of Georgia” will be the topic when Dr. David DesRochers,
Assistant Professor of Biology at Dalton State College, addresses a
Lunch & Learn program sponsored by the Dalton State Foundation
Friday, March 15, at 12 noon in The James E. Brown Center.

“The State of Georgia provides habitat to more than 400 species
of birds that spend part or all of their lives here,” says DesRochers.
With a background in bird ecology and conservation, Dr. DesRochers will
provide Lunch & Learn attendees with a brief overview of the lives
of several representative bird species.
DesRochers came to Dalton State in 2010 after completing his
master’s degree at The College of William & Mary and his Ph.D. at
Tufts University.
Cost of the lunch program is $10; reservations are required by March 13 and may be made online at
www.alumni.daltonstate.edu/events. Those with questions are invited to contact the Dalton State Foundation at 706-272-4473.
The Roberts Library also has an excellent
Orinthology LibGuide which provides links to web sites, online databases, and lists of books available in the library.
