Text Anxiety?

Test Anxiety is common and many students seek Disability Support Services for help with it.  Typically test anxiety is not a symptom of an underlying disability and therefore prevents the student from qualifying for accommodations. These students are always referred to Counseling Services where they can work one on one with a counselor to learn tools and techniques for managing anxiety.  Many of these tools and techniques must be done just before the test occurs and a student may or may not be able to get into counseling before every test.

Bio feedback tools allow a student to gain skills and be independent in managing anxiety and stress symptoms before tests and other times without the necessity of an official appointment.

 BIO FEEDBACK LOUNGE

A private, relaxing environment (the Bio Feedback Lounge) is provided in the Roberts Library so students are able to maximize their experience.

To take advantage of these tools and schedule a short training session please contact Counseling Services or Disability Support Services at 706-272-4429 or stop by Academic Resources in the lower level of the Pope Student Center.
