Lunch and Learn Program: Doing Business in Peru


Sesquicentennial Chair and Professor of Management Dr. Marilyn Helms will present “Doing Business in Peru,” at a Dalton State Lunch & Learn on Thursday, May 9, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at Dalton State College in The James E. Brown Center, room 105.

Dr. Helms’ program will explore the growing economy of our South American neighbor based on her two recent visits there. Of particular note in this Lunch & Learn is the impact of tourism on the Peruvian economy.
A perennial student favorite on campus and a widely published scholar, Dr. Helms has taught at Dalton State since 2000. Her doctorate and MBA are from the University of Memphis.

Reservations and advance payment are required by May 7, and may be made online at www.alumni.daltonstate.edu/events. Cost is $10 and includes lunch. Those with questions are invited to contact the Dalton State Foundation by calling 706-272-4473.

Dalton State Lunch & Learn programs are open to the public, ages 12 and older. Refunds are offered only on the occasion of an event cancellation by the Dalton State Foundation.
