According to Vice President for Fiscal Affairs Scott Bailey, bonds could be sold this fall and ground could be broken as soon as January 2013 on the building which will be located near Sequoya Hall on the southwestern end of the campus. Construction is expected to take about 13 months, he said.
Dr. John Schwenn stated, “The addition of this science building will help us maintain the much-needed pipeline of chemistry graduates to supply our local industry. Our modern science and research laboratories will help us attract more science students and will benefit the entire Northwest Georgia region.”
