Reference site contains state statistics, maps, flags, graphs and pie charts. Statistics are gathered from the US Census Bureau, the FBI, and the National Center for Educational Statistics.

World's largest, searchable "how to" manual.

How Stuff Works (http://www.howstuffworks.com)
Using illustrations, video, and articles, this TLC-sponsored web site explains how different objects function.

Wolfram Alpha (http://www.wolframalpha.com)
Enter your question or calculation and Wolfram Alpha uses its built-in algorithms and a growing collection of data to complete the answer.
