EBSCOhost eBooks provides access to electronic books (eBooks), including reference books, scholarly monographs, publications of many university presses, and consumer books that have been converted into digital format. 
To access the many titles available in EBSCOhost:
1. Log in to GALILEO and select the Databases A-Z tab. 
2. Select the letter "E" from the alphabetical listing or type in "EBSCOhost"in the search box. 
3. Scroll down and select the eBooks on EBSCOhost link. 
4. Search for an eBook using keywords, subject, author, or title.

Important News for NetLibrary eBooks/Audiobooks Users
We’re excited to inform you, as a current user of NetLibrary eBooks and/or Audiobooks, that access to eBooks and Audiobooks is being migrated from the NetLibrary platform to the EBSCOhost platform. In July 2011, you’ll be able to enjoy all of the features that we’ve built to allow you to get more value and enjoyment out of using eBooks and Audiobooks. 
You may have already tried eBooks on EBSCOhost via the preview that we have made available (accessible via GALILEO). If not, we invite you to check it out today, and explore some of the enhancements, including: 
By the time we release the full version in mid-July, EBSCOhost will have even more functionality for you to take advantage of, including: 
  • Enhanced download experiencee
  • eBook and Audiobook landing pages for enriched browsing
  • Select-your-own checkout duration
  • Greater support for Apple devices for Audiobook downloads 
What this means to NetLibrary users 
When eBooks and Audiobooks are migrated from NetLibrary to the EBSCOhost platform, your current NetLibrary account information; checkout/download history; current checkouts, downloads and any information on holds you may have placed on eBooks/Audiobooks; and any notes that you have created will not be migrated to the new system, and will no longer be available to you.

David Brown

Lee Ann Cline
Technical Services/Archives Librarian


Lee Ann is responsible for cataloging books, supervising students workers, and maintaining the Archives of the Roberts Library.  Our Archives contain a collection of information pertaining to the history of Dalton State College (newspaper articles, pictures, old catalogs, etc.), Marian McCamy Sims Papers, and several early editions of books by Georgia authors.   The Archives are available by appointment only. Lydia Knight
Library Director

Lydia has been a Librarian for over 30 years.  She was a student worker in the Library at Dalton Junior College and returned to her alma mater in August 1997 as a cataloging librarian.  In 2007, Lydia was named the Library Director.  She loves being a Librarian and seeing people's faces light up when they find the information they need.

Barbara Jones
Interlibrary Loan/Government Documents Librarian

Barbara has worked in libraries since she was 16 -  high school library,  college library, a public library and then decided to make librarianship a career and earned a Masters in Library and Information Science from Vanderbilt.  She has been at Dalton State since January 1991.
